Interesting Article on the JPG Format and Image Quality

I stumbled across this article today about using the JPG format in regards to image quality. If you were to edit a .jpg file downloaded from your phone (in Photoshop or whatever image editing software), and save the edited image, you will inevitably lose quality on that image. This is because the JPEG compression is what's known as "lossy" compression. In order to get a small file size, it compresses the image data, and therefore, the quality of the image decreases.
