No Windows Vista Until 2007

Microsoft confirmed that Windows Vista, the next version of the Windows operating system, would be delayed until 2007. Businesses and volume licensing customers would actually be able to get it by November, but consumers will have to wait until January 2007. According to Jim Allchin of Microsoft, this will allow PC manufacturers to test their systems and resolve some quality issues. (Sources: BetaNews, vnunet)

UPDATE (3/24/06) Microsoft Office 2007 will apparently also be delayed until 2007. (Source: CNet)
