Microsoft Virtual Earth Beta
With Google Maps and Google Earth becoming hugely popular, Microsoft has now published Virtual Earth Beta (http://virtualearth.msn.com or http://www.virtualearth.com) and it is now live. (From Bink.nu) Right away, it doesn't seem to have the same smoothness of Google Maps, but it looks promising. One feature I like is the zoom-in, zoom-out with the mouse wheel (for those Microsoft Streets and Trips/MapPoint users, you'll find this feature familiar). Another thing I noticed is that the aerial photo data appears to be very old and only of mediocre quality.
