Robert McDonald from Jacksonville, FL and two friends made a viking ship replica out of 15 million popsicle sticks! The crazy thing is they plan to sail it across the Atlantic! (Sources: Engadget, BBC)
I was crazy during WWII in the S. Pacific. We made a sailboat from a belly tank from a downed aircraft. The sail was from mattress covers. It eventually sank and we had to be rescued. S. Bauman from 419th Night Fighter Squadron. I hope they have more success than we did. Have fun. I would volunteer to go on the trip, but at 84 I might not survive. I still sail, but don't have a license to fly.sbauman@austin.rr.com
