Hotmail Messed Up in Firefox - Is it just me?
Hotmail is a pain, but I keep it around to use as my public, commercial, junk email address. For some reason, Hotmail has been looking pretty messed up when viewing it in Firefox (version 3.6.12, Mac OS X 10.6.4) during the last few days. The text is stacked on top of other items and is smashed together with buttons. Some icons show text on top of them. It seems to render fine in Safari and Chrome. Anyone else having this problem?

Apple Announces New MacBook Air & Mac OS X 10.7 Lion
Apple demonstrated its commitment to the Mac product line today at its "Back to the Mac" event. The Mac product line is a $22 billion business, representing 33% of Apple's total revenue. Apple announced the new version of its Mac OS X Lion which will be released Summer 2011.
Some notable features of the new operating system include: an app store (launching within 90 days on Snow Leopard), an application launchpad (kind of like the iPhone app icons), full-screen apps, improved gesture navigation, and Mission Control (improved window management interface combining Exposé, full-screen apps, dashboard, desktop, and dock).

Refreshed Social Network Flowchart
I have better structured my social network flowchart so that I can effectively and simply leverage all social networking tools and avoid any redundancy. I just wish there were an easier way to push my Google Reader Shared Items to Facebook without having to use an RSS feed. What happened to the built-in Google Reader Shared Items sharing capability on Facebook? Any suggestions are welcome.

A Crime That Almost Occurred Involving Craigslist and My Fence
Monday our fence blew down due to high winds, so I contacted a couple of fence repair companies to get quotes. The fence itself is totally fine, but the posts need to be replaced. I spoke to a fence repair company (www.a1texas.info) who eagerly provided me a competitive bid for the repair. After receiving the bid, I sent an email reply at 2:00 pm that said, "Thanks! I'm still waiting to hear back from a few other companies. I'll let you know." At 3:09 pm an ad was posted to Craigslist that said:
i have a 4 year old 8ft fence 56ft that blew over and can be picked up for
free at (my address).......just come by and pick it up
if your in the area

My Social Networking Flowchart
Lately I've been trying to determine the best flow for my social networking tools. Typically I generate content from Twitter (for public, short blurbs) and this blog (for more detailed posts), Facebook (for private, short blurbs), and comments on Google Reader. I only use Buzz to reply to my circle of friends who reply to my Google Reader Shared items. Here is a diagram that shows how content flows and replicates from one service to another. I'm open to suggestions on how to make it more efficient or simple.

Spot the ATM Skimmer
Brian Krebs has a good article about ATM skimmers, those nefarious, rogue devices that criminals place on top of an ATM or gas station pump to steal your credit/debit card information. The article mentions tips such as avoiding using ATM machines where the card reader is a different color than the rest of the machine as well as links to pictures of card skimmers. Be safe! Goodbye GOOG-411
Another day, another useful service goes away. First Lala.com, then Xmarks, and now Google's voice-activated search and information service GOOG-411 (800-GOOG-411) announcing that it will go away November 12, 2010. I use GOOG-411 at least once a week, sometimes more. Any recommendations on free alternatives?
